08 Chevy DMax, 3:73 Rears (6 spd. Auto) 12 mpg around town, 16 on highway, 10 mpg towing 12,000 lbs of boat and trailer. Dealer claimed it would get better once "broke in". Must be 28k miles not enough to break it in yet !:driving: They sure are much better for towing and the tow mileage is...

Yup, could not stand it any longer....went for a rip today in some plenty cool water but 83 dgree air temps. New ride runs pretty nice, will try to get some video clips up.

Couple Checkmates, one a 28 with 900+ hp that would run 100. Last boat an 03 35 Lightning with improved 575's that ran a best of 98. Traded before I added too much horsepower and went back to breaking Bravos. I loved the fast Checkmate but it was a little loose up there.

This one had 700's originally. Brian ran it to 128, said loose over 120. Original owner traded back and they pulled 700's, sold with 600's. This is only 35 staggered ever done with 6's. Mitcher T painted.

What power was in it when you drove it ???

Never did, boat always had 6's. Just bought boat with 600's in it. As is will be pretty bullet-proof. 6's provide nice opportunity for future upgrades to motors without creating drive headaches. As is runs 108.

Kind of a stripped-down Poker Run rig, still with a functional cabin. Power is "600" sci Mercs. Enough hull for our inland lakes and the great lakes most of the time.
