20th January 2011
Dear Teams,
Last week UIM and International Sea Racing Limited signed the agreement, which gave birth to a new era in Powerboat racing. The new Promoter for the UIM Endurance World and Continental Championship is now International Sea Racing Limited.
The 2011 Calendar is at a very advanced stage and we hope to finalise the venues within the next few weeks. It is our aim to provide you with a defined calendar by the 26th February, 2011. The intention is to stage 6 races. The first race is not likely to be before June, this gives us all some time to get ready.
Soon we will have our website up and running. The setup is designed to be user friendly and informative, hence, enabling the user to view and acquire all the information and details needed. Other innovative marketing and promotional initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks.
Teams Agreements are being prepared and shortly you will receive a draft document which we will then discuss at a Team’s meeting. We are hoping to hold this meeting in Malta, on Saturday 19th February 2011. This meeting will also serve as a platform to discuss any other issues and matters which need clarification.
Television Exposure is another issue we are dealing with. We are at a very advanced stage in our negotiations with a company which will bring us both the required production quality and the widest exposure possible. You will be provided with more details once the deal is concluded.
We assure you that we are moving fast to put everything together to have a great season. One of our main objectives is to improve the level of our sport and we are confident that you will be seeing and feeling substantial improvements this year.
We look forward to receive your feedback.
