Heading to the blizzard, stuck in Florida

I'm sure some of you Northernes would be glad to be in my place.. In Tampa.

:biggrinjester:

But.. I'm STUUUUCK ! at the airport, trying to get to Chicago, for Christmas..

What's going on up there??? It can't be that bad. ????

Thank goodness for Terminal wireless connections.

Merry Christmas guys and gals.

Actually, I just posted that it is freezing rain in Cincinnati right now. Should last for two more hours. Chicago might be a biotch. I do think the bad stuff is going East of Chicago though. But, you know how Airports have a domino effect..... Good luck!

MAN I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!!! sorry you are stuck but for the most part it is Chi town that people get stuck in 1st time I have heard it the other way. Careful of the airport wirless I got a bad virus from one about a month ago.

Haven't heard back from him yet. Bet he is at the bar or just went back home. Fuk sleeping in the airport.

Thursday, we made it out of O'Hare about two hours before the storm hit.
The poor bastage that was sitting at the bar with us since 6:00am trying to fly stand-by for an early flight didn't make our flight, and must have got stuck in the storm at the airport.
Phoenix was a little nicer than Cinci right now...

in metro Detroit we have over 13 inches, it has snowed just about every day since last Thursday, it started snowing around 2 today and it is still coming down and tomorrow freezing rain and more snow in the evening. We were going to drive to Long Island, but decided to stay put at home. I am starting to worry about my evergreens, snow is almost covering some of the ones near where we have to shovel, and the temps have been so consistently cold that I doubt we will be snow free until March. This is when Ian loves to bring up Global Warming:rofl:

For those of you traveling, stay safe and have patience

I guess I timed it right. I left Minneapolis a day earlier than scheduled last Thursday to beat the storm system that was moving in to the upper midwest. It was actually nice and warm when I got home to Cincy. We left there Sat. night and headed down to Florida before the weather went to hell there. sunny and 80 is the forecast for the rest of the week. :)

Too bad I have to go back to Minnesota after the first. :(

today's newspapers don't have the quality to keep you warm through those drunken park bench evenings !

I am going out on the boat in an hour or so:seeya:

Hope you all had a great Chrsitmas.
My sister left early from NJ, on Tuesday AM, She got in before the storm.
I got to Chicago around 10 PM. We actually had a nother delay, right on the runway in Tampa. 45 minutes. I knew something was up when they turned off the engines.
I hope everyone is ok up in this BLIZZARD !!! but 12" + snow on the ground makes Christmas all the better. ( for about 4 days.. :) then back to sunny FLA)
YOu guys can have this 12 deg. chit. I had it long enough. 24 years around Chicago.
I must admit, I had a great time with my family and my sister's kids. We laughed so much yesterday, my side was hurting. Can't beat close and loving family around a warm fireplace, Getting toasted, (more ways then one.)
Hope everyones New Years is great.
