looking for cheapest durable trailer for 21' boat

Keep an eye out on Craigslist/ SearchTempest makes short work out of the search. Ive been looking for a few months for the exact same thing for one of my other projects. Solid 20' tandems seem to be few and far between. Call all of your local boat yards and marinas and put the word out. With all of the junk boats sitting around, one of them is bound to have a usable trailer under it.

Been looking atr those ez's and their pretty n ice. I need to 2 axles + hardware, 4 tires, new winch, new fender, misc parts, hardware and wiring. By the time im done i gotta dump about 800 to a grand into mine even if i do it myself. By the time i ad my labor into it ill be at 13 to 1500. I got a price of 2700 for a 4000 lb tandem. Is it worth it?

Mine was around $3000, but that was a few years back(2008), BUT it came with 4 wheel Disc Brakes, Oil bath Hubs, GoodYear marathon Radials, Stainless hardware, Aluminum Bunks, PVC Guide ons, and LED taillights. Definitely look at the options list if you go new. I bought the EZ loader because everything I wanted was included for the price of a base trailer elsewhere. This is a Pic of my trailer from their site, except mine is upgraded with the Aluminum Bunks.

By the time you strip it, repaint it and replace the tires, bearings, wiring, lights and sagging springs, you can buy a new trailer. I've tried to rehab "decent" trailers in the past and ended up with nice looking 20-year-old trailers that cost me what a new one would have- and caused me much less grief.
