Typhoon Marine-Expirience

I am new to boating at the Shore after 12 years on the Central Hudson. Late last year I had major engine work done by the wrong shop in Brick New Jersey. Un-able to keep water out of the oil in a re-built engine I was losing use of my boat just about every weekend and spending obscene amounts of money as they muddled thru trying to get it right. To say I was in despair would be a gross understatement.. Thanks to Frank, Chuck, Bob and the gang at Typhoon I am running strong once again. IT started with Frank making a friendly stop by my house to take a look at what turned out to be two dead cylinders due to water intrusion and continued from there. Everything they have done for me has been timely, worked flawlessly and priced fairly for what is after-all an expenssive avocation at best. I feel as if I have not only found a great resource to keep my boat running thru the season but have made good friend as well.

What was the water intrusion???? I have seen a NEW Dart Block leak water, from where No-one knows we had to fill the jackets and sell it as a drag race block. It leaked about 2qts water per hour while running hard.

I want to also extend a big thank you to Typhoon for taking care of my blower issues at the beginning of the season. They go far above what is normal in providing the best service!

Typhoon is the best there is and I am proud to call everyone there my friend!

Sy is correct however, if you hang with them after hours....

Not sure exactly what caused the water intrusion. There was a lot of poor work done by another shop that likely did not properly seal the intake manifold, in addition, may have contributed by using the in correct cam thus also contributing to the issue. We ended up getting an off the shelf re-manufactured HP500 from Merc. Also went to the Hi-rise riser pipes to prevent future isues with water reversion....All I know is now the oil stays where it belongs as does the water

Hi Dan, we ran down to Tices Shoal for the day. The boat did loose speed and has to come out. PS: And my son Sean stole the wheel and sticks, well he kicked the old man out of the seat again Big difference in the bay today from yesterday, talk to you soon.
