Canada has a shuttle???


Although the United States, through NASA, leads the ISS project, 15 other countries are involved in building and operating various parts of the station – Russia, Canada, Japan, Brazil, and 11 member nations of ESA (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.


Canada contribution:

Mobile Servicing System (17-m-long robotic arm and with a smaller manipulator attachment

Mobile Remote Servicer Base to allow the robotic arm to travel along the truss

We have one guy in that project. Christer Fuglesang were part of the crew at
STS-116 Discovery 2007. He will go there again july 2009 with STS-128.
The funny thing is that Mr Fuglesang is a member on my marina in Stockholm:sifone:

scary?? hell our 1st spy sat. in the 60's was essentially the same as the hubble telescope, just pointed the other direction, 40 years of technology later....
 
Wow you should see that on a large moniter 46"lcd its just awesome and those nasa pics are twice that size in high quality you can download them free go to nasa.gov then multimedia then shuttle and space station some really incredible pics
