"Universal Juviniles" is an absolute classic, right along with Kim's solo record "Akimbo Alogo". He's just an incredible player...
There have been so many ridiculously great Canadian musicians, I could go on for days!
My favorite in recent years was a band called "She Stole My Beer". They have a great tune called Twisted Vehicle....Imagine Dire Straits if they were from Whistler, B.C.
 
What about Big Wreck ? Amazing guitar player by the name of Ian Thornley.
His latest project was simply called Thornley....He's awesome...

Also, Nettwerk Records is a Canadian Company....Sarah McLaughlin and Barenaked Ladies are signed there, along with a host of forwardthinking Canadian artists...Terry McBride, the brains behind arguably Canada's most succesful privately held Record Company started Nettwerk in his apartment in Vancouver...
 
Then there's Rhys Fulber, amazing producer/performer, who had a band called Frontline Assembly, and who made the "Delirium" and "Conjure one" records.

As a matter of fact, some of the most brilliant record makers of our time are Canadian:

Daniel Lanois- He made the Peter Gabriel "So" album and U2's "Joshua Tree" and a ton of other very important rock records

Malcolm Burn- Made records with Midnight Oil, Emmylou Harris, Patti Smith, Blue Rodeo, etc.

Bruce Fairburn (RIP) - Made Loverboy, Bonjovi "Slippery...", Aerosmith "Get A Grip", Van Halen "Balance"...etc.

Bob Rock- Most of the Metallica albums, Bryan Adams, Motley Crue "Dr.Feelgood", David Lee Roth "A little Ain't enough", The cult, Our Lady Peace (also Canadian)...The list is endless.....

Oh, and Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) is a Toronto guy....Started in a Toronto band called VO5 with another Canadian kid, Ronnie Sweetheart.
After Sebastian joind Skid Row, Ronnie moved to NY, put together another band also clled the Throbs, and got signed by Geffen Records....Record was made by yet another Canadian uber-producer....Bob Ezrin.
Bob amongst other things made a ton of Alice Cooper Records, Pink Floyd's The Wall, Janes Addiction...Etc....
