More Obama lies??????

Good news on the lies, he promised to tax the oil companies and now that oil prices have dropped the Obama camp said "it has made the windfall profit tax a dead letter"

Judging from some of the prices Ive been seeing reccently on stripped lowers you would be better off just buying a complete rifle. On the AR mags, Midway's December flyer has Stoner mags for $9.99 for both 20 and 30rnd.

Where are you hunting down this way?

Its a crap shoot right now, I'd almost just like to have the lowers to keep for parts in case I need one later down the line. I stopped in Ashland today, they have a huge box of 20 round clip they are selling for 20 bucks, I went to Sportmans Den and they are down to about a dozen 30 round and probably 60 20 round clips, I bought 4 30-rounds for good measure :D. The whole thing aggravates me because I knew I should have been buying a year ago and but didn't and now if I want the guns I have to pay the piper. Damn $4.XX gas this summer!!!

I grew up in Gay-lion (Galion :D), folks still live there and the ol' man likes it when I come down and hunt with him. I find the whole thing is a hassle anymore in dealing with 10-acre landowners that think they own the whole damn county and try to get the 200-acre farmers to quit letting us hunt and the damn game warden always showing up because of the 10-acre landowners calling them. BUT then when we run HERDS of deer all over the place, I can't help but get a kick out of it. Its unreal, 10 years ago we were lucky to see 4 deer together at once and there were trucks of people all over. Now we rarely see any other hunters and tonight when I got down here and was driving around looking around at 4:00 o'clock I counted about 40 deer together in one field. I just have to laugh when we run a section and 20-some deer come blowing out the other end and the guy posted misses them all because he didn't know which one to shoot at :rofl::rofl:

I live about 20 mi. SE of Galion, shooting deer this week has been like like shooting fish in a barrel, shot 3 already this week.

Buddy of mine was hunting black powder and had a deer almost walk up to him. Maybe 20 yards. He missed because he bumped his sites and shot over him.:rofl: I was like chit man you should have been able to see that problem just siting down the barrel.

My brother just got a AR 30 that he orderedover a year ago and it finally came in. He was lucky. I bet he could double his money on that thing now. I hope to get a weekend off working on my place in Maine so that I can go shoot it with him at the range.

See all the problems your guy barry O is causing us already!!! :26::26:

Some one is going to have to explain the dancing brockly (sp) to me one of these days :D

I thought you lived down by Cincy or something? I don't get down here too often anymore, sometimes it seems like time stands still around here. We were out all damn day today and didn't see anything, then I finally just had enough as the guy I was riding around fiddly-phucked around so much and was driving around at 15 mph I finally just told him to take me to my truck so I could go try to get something accomplished!

My buddy and I were going to hunt on my land today. I called it off because it appeared my stupid neighbor scared them all of without even taking one. Haven't seen one since last week. Well, I'm in my home office today and what do I see? A 250 lb. 6-8 pointer with 4 does go through my property. Just call me dumb azz! :ack2: We get another 2 days for guns at the end of the month. If that buck is still around then - he's mine! Since my land is all very steep hillsides, can someone provide some tips about quartering a deer in the field? There is NO way we can lug one out without a helicopter.

In Ohio or FLA? I'm guessing OH since you are planning on another 2 days at the end of the month. Me, I'll be snowboarding up in MI and give it another shot during muzzleloader.

Now on quartering, I'm not sure you can??? I think when you check it, it has to be in one piece. Now if you want to shoot it/quarter it w/o checking it, you are on your own pal :D Just watch out for the boogie man! Even with a landowner tag I think it still has to be in once piece when you check it.

You can 1/4 them in the field but the head must still be attached to the carcass (most states are like this).

Section 1501:31-15-11(I) (11) of the Ohio Administrative code states, “Every deer taken or possessed during any open deer season shall be delivered for inspection and permanent tagging to either an official division of wildlife deer check station or a state wildlife officer in the county where killed or an adjacent county where killed not later than eight p.m. of the following day after harvest or by eight p.m. if harvested on the last day of any deer season. A deer may be skinned and eviscerated, but the head shall not be detached from the carcass prior to presentation for final inspection and permanent tagging at an official deer check station. Provided further, all persons taking deer within an urban unit or zone c from November 30, 2008 through February 3, 2009 under the authority of an antlerless deer permit shall deliver the deer for permanent tagging in the urban unit or zone c where the deer was taken, not later than eight p.m. the following day after the kill or by eight p.m. if taken on the final day of the deer season.”

Just be sure to shoot it when its at the top of the hill, that way when it rolls to the bottom you just eliminated all the work. :D
