Yep. That state is where our next prez is comming from. Just look at the recent and past history of the state's political history......

Not fair to paint everyone with that brush because of party affiliation... just as is isn't fair to do the same with repugs for Mark Foley, Bill Jefferson, Larry Craig, Duke Cunningham etc etc.

The funny part, on PBS today, their explanation was that all politicians in Illinois are crooked because of the least accountability laws of anywhere in the US.:)

Well didnt Obama include all us dems that vote republican in with GW? Come on, you know as well as I do that regardless of political affiliation that these people are corrupt. If they werent there wouldnt be 150 billion added on to the bailout bill, or all the crap that is going on in congress. I'm not saying both arent at fault, but it seems like the Dems point more fingers..get rid of them all and start over, ban the incumbents, regardless of affiliation.

William Jennings "Bill" Jefferson (born March 14, 1947) is an American politician from the U.S. state of Louisiana. A Democrat, Jefferson has been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives since 1991, but was defeated by Republican Joseph Cao on December 6, 2008.[1] Jefferson represents Louisiana's 2nd congressional district, which includes much of the greater New Orleans area. He is Louisiana's first black congressman since the end of Reconstruction.[2] Suspecting him of bribery, the FBI raided his Congressional offices in May 2006, but he was re-elected later that year. On June 4, 2007, a federal grand jury indicted Jefferson on sixteen charges related to corruption.

Jay just remind them, it is Illinois:sifone: and Blagojevich replaced the republican governor who is currently serving a 6 year prison sentence.
