Warpath!

Stinson if this is true how can the Hull # of the banner boat be 004? Could the rabbit have been built after the banner boat along with the other yellow hull race boats Pred, Starchaser, etc.? Does anyone know if the Rabbit had the new or old transom? This would let us know as i am positive that the banner boat had the old transom, thus if the rabbit had the new transom it must have been after the banner boat.

I probably have the order incorrect but out of the first 5 or 6 one was a pleasure boat....Hope this helps....its hard to retain this plethora of Apache knowledge in correct order.....Tommy Evans is probably the best historian out of all of us. You can contact him through Gail Paik....

Hah, that's cool, yours was built right before mine!!!! And hey, your boat was faster than mine at one time!!!! Mine was orignially built with 365 magnums for a guy on a lake in TX.. vroom vroom! :ack2::driving:

Great idea about the registry!!!

seems to me I remember the 36 boat from the 03 show being 105 or something like that!!!!

Dang, and to think I always thought mine was the slowest one built LOL.

What is the rabbit boat? Can someone post a picture and tell the story on why its call the rabbit boat?

thanks for your help....

I think to figure out the "REAL" #'s of how many 41's or so where build ....is very hard.
I guess there where a lot more that we don't actually know anything about and got either sunk or burned during the runs they where build for ?!

Stinson ???? what do u think buddy ????

They were 75 original 41's built while Apache was in business at either 188th St or Hollywood FL location

1 boat has 2 HIN and 2 41's are stamped #74 hence the reason Ghost Runner has 2 HIN #'s

A bunch of posts back I posted a link to video I uploaded on youtube from the 86' worlds, I believe it's the rabbit. They called it the rabbit because it was a light lay-up and "hopped" and was flighty (as you can see in the video), at least that's the rumor I heard. :driving:

Thanks. What Would you think is the average fuel consumption in race conditions and in your average cruising around? Figure 900hp Scharged. Obviously just an aproximate.

Ok all I can use for a comparison is Desert Warrior which had the bow tank that I never used and the floor tank which I think was still 120 gals if memory serves me correct and Geronimo which had the saddles and floor tank

Desert Warrior w/Chief 800SC at 3500-4000 cruise zero boost burned about 40 gals an hour at wide open I think it was roughly 60-65....

Geronimo w/DSM 1200SC at 4000 cruise zero boost was again approx 40-50 gals/hr BUT at WOT it burned 80 gals/hr

Now remember thats per engine each scenario so double the gals/hr to get your total fuel burn!!!!

I guess its pretty much all the same , 1.2 gallons per mile +/- ?! each engine.

So 80 gallons HR each = ( 80 + MPH ) average
