Biloxi 2011 - First Race of the Year

Purrrfect ran well the first race. Finished barely second to Simmons, but had gremlins again during the second race.

Last year they had so much troublr it was nice to see them finish a race with no blown motor. I don't remember how many times that happened last year, but it was a bunch.....

Joe was pleasd to finish without one puking. Then in the second race, they had fuel pressure problems that would appear every time they got close to full RPM, but never in a corner. An oddity they've continued to chase.

did it appear to have the same tendencys as the activator ,,too short for the speeds ?? just guessing ,and it was flat water,, ,rougher water, it,s not going to get better !!

I don't think so. They were running really fast, give you some problems there I think.....:sifone:


Colby said it is a lot easier to drive than before, corners better and less chine walk, even at the faster speeds.

When they were close to going over they were flat out through a corner on the last lap right behind Back and got squeezed to where they ended up in a no-mans wake ride position.....

Pirate also chased Gremlins all weekend. Thanks to help from their buddies in the other boats, they were able to finish the last race and end up second overall in SVL.

Well, we're in Memphis at a very noisy hotel next to the runway. Hopefully getting out soon.

I'll get some more stuff up in the next couple days. I've got a great corner sequence from Randy and Colby. They ran their butts off trying to make up in the corners what they would lose in the straights.
