What the most hrs ever gotten out of 1000hp. Is it unlikely to see 200hrs or are you luck to see 100hrs?? I know it depends how hard you are on them.. But on an average scale mostly cruising and moderate WOT. What can be had. Thanks Scott
Depends really on 3 things: How well it's built (not so much assembly as engineering), If it's mechanical or hydraulic, and how hard it's run. I've seen mechanical roller motors done at 50HRS and go as long as 200 or longer with a top end job in there somewhere. Hydraulic valvetrain can normally last longer(200-500HRS) but if it's wound ALL the time, the rings could also be done at 50 HRS. Every engine has a certain number of "load cycles" or "horsepowers" in it. Depending on how many you use per hour can influence the total life of the motor greatly. Just my 2cents -Ben
