I got a text this past Sunday morn that my bro was gonna take the Apache for one last lunch run on Monday and if I wanted to go ........ umm ............ hello? OF COURSE I DO!!!
Well, when I got to the marina 4 other boats where there to take the ride down with us (51' OL, 37' OL, 36' Skater, 28' Powerplay and my bro's 36' Apache) Waiting for everyone to gas up was like waiting for a race to start, we were all just milling around in front of the gas dock. Finally last to gas up was the Skater and then we had to long idle to Sandy Hook. Then we were off.
As usual the hook supplied some air, but the rest of the way down to Point was smooth as glass with a small SE swell. Had a great lunch just inside the Manasquan Inlet at the Patio Bar.
Then it was time for the ride home. Friggin HeeHaw!!! Wind shifted and the ocean picked up. It was nice and choppy and plenty of airtime!! The powerplay definitely collected all it's frequent flyer miles.
Hope you enjoy the pics! They can all be viewed at:
