Chicks, Chips & Boats

I think it is time for a:kiss: and a :grouphug: and get back to talking about the mindless, fun, dumb, and exciting stuff that happens in our life. If someone wants to throw in one liner or a jab here or there.....now and again..... I am sure we will enjoy a good laugh.

OK, enough about that, now about me:biggrinjester: I have two stitches in my tummy and little holes in my head and ears, I went to the dermatologist and he found some suspicious stuff they wanted to scrape off and test. That the worst thing about being blond, it usually comes with light skin and freckles:(

Jann when do you guys want to come for another visit, I need a trim, and Mark I can attest to this she is very good with scissors, and when you are hugged by Fund you really know you have been hugged:)

I assume they are testing it to make sure things are ok???

My daughter informed me yesterday that her pap test (sorry guys) came back postiive. Redid it, and so did the second one. :( She is suppose to see her doctor next week. It'll be either a colonoscopy or something to detect for cancer or precancerous cells.

Say lots of prayers for her, will you all? I'll keep you posted as we find things out.

From what I understand, Fund stands about 6'8" and there's noth'n small about BB either.

*note to self*
Do not get between these two in a group hug:D

yes they are testing it, I have a feeling as years go on there will be many more of these tests ahead of me, my Mom has had about 6 squamish cells removed, but so far no melanoma.

Barb that is hard to hear, I imagine this is the daughter that just had the baby, perhaps she is not back to normal yet. I will say a prayer that it is just something easily treatable.

Ok. I'll tell you what.... you pray for my friend, a sister who is our Mother Superior who will have cancer surgery next week and I will put your daughter on the prayer board so 250 sisters pray for her. (And I will pray too.)
Deal?
The Sister's name is Mary Fran.
What's your daughter's name?

My step daughter had similar results last year. The Dr. said it was most likely nothing to worrie about. They did the tests, and all was good. They said is is not that uncommon for pap tests to come back abnormal. My thoughts are with her, and you. I know how scarry these things can be!

Whats this? conversation? Wow ...

Barb .. you know Ive been there, done that .. twice. First time wasnt nearly as scary as last year but I think that was more of a timing issue. Anyway ... if they have caught it early, and it is cervical cancer, it really will be no big deal ... well ... at least not as big of a deal as some other cancers tend to be. My first time with it was between the two kids so it really didnt effect anything .. just wish they would have called it something else. The word cancer is so scary.

Donna ... keep us posted please. Sorry you wont be making it to Kart to Kart.

John Dear ... you and I both know you have used that reference more than just last year but even at that, I was joking, that was the reason for the smilie. If I felt it was true then it wouldnt be funny but since all these people know me and have met me they know its not true so therefore open to joking ... at least in my head... sorry Im twisted. I promise to never use that word again if you promise also

I'm sure it's most likely nothing too, but as a woman, when you hear them say that, it's sends a chill up your spine.

Appreciate the thoughts David!

You're cute first of all! :sifone:

You're right Dawn, if it is cancer, they caught it early enough and she will be fine. She gets tested yearly as she should. I know you're not making light of it if in fact is is cancer. But it's a known fact if caught early, it can be treated with excellent results.

The word cancer is so scary. And when you hear your kid say it? Wow wee.

Definitely not making light of it .. ..the procedure is reasonably simple (some docs even do it in there office instead of a hospital as an outpatient thing) but like everything there is always a risk. Cancer is cancer and none of its good. Im sure you handled the news better than my mom. The first time I told her I had cancer we were in her kitchen doing dishes, she was washing, I was drying and I said mom I have something to tell you .. I told her and her reply was "no you dont" She didnt look at me .. she didnt acknowledge it ... I was just standing there in shock .. ok then. She told me later that she just didnt want to accept that it was there. Last year when I finally told her, she didnt say a word .. just hugged me. Its rough. Its scary.... and like I said, I just wish they would call it something else :(
