Payback for the missile defense system we're putting into Europe. To be quite honest, I don't know why we're defending Europe anymore. They're big boys now and making their own choices- often against our best interests. Let 'em go play both sides of the fence on their own nickel. There's plenty of space in England to build some MASSIVE airbases.

Agreed! I have no idea why we have US troops in Europe. Phuck NATO! I say bring back all of our troops in Europe and save the taxpayers (us) millions of dollars.

but if you look at it realistically, with an open mind, if we can have missles their, why can't they have missles here? although we would be much better off if noone had missles anywhere.

Our missiles prevent bad guy's missiles from reacing their targets. Their missiles are offensive weapons (tactical nukes).
It's a bunch of BS anyway- Cuba has been meaningless as a place to base missiles since the late 60's. The submarine made them obsolete. You can stick one 20 miles off of NY or DC and you won't know it's there until its tubes are empty.
Over-running Cuba wouldn't be much fun anyway. They got brushed off quick in Grenada.

yep, and just like that fool in Iran, its all saber rattling. everyone is doing piss poor now and IF they are stupid enough to start something with anyone, the world economy will tumble even more. by puffing out their chests, they are trying to inflate the money that their country makes.

Chris, can we start a war? all of the other internet sites are doing it. all right we have volunteers, who is going to be the naive guy who shows us a picture of his girl back home right before we go into combat, were also going to need a couple of "star trek security" types to get killed right off the bat, and we are gonna need some booze and some loose women, somebody start a list.:sifone:
It wouldn't be a new concept. For thousands of years prior to the 20th century, many wars were privately waged. Governments over thrown and even businesses seized- the original "hostile takeover" All by professional soldiers- mercenaries. In the 20th century, the practice was marginalized to the "developing nations". Most of the map movements in Africa happened by mercenaries.
