F-18 crashes into San Diego neighborhood

they are still looking for the second pilot and do not know yet about ground injuries. I live 45 minuites north of there

Just saw on MSN that they're now saying 2 dead. Bad deal. I was out at Miramar about 2 months ago for an event. Good bunch of guys who take their jobs very seriously.

says something about the pilots... I dont know what went wrong, but it was undoubtedly exceptional skill that minimized damage, only 2 houses were hit. 300 mph of alum and ti could have easily taken out at least half a block

Headline states 3 dead. :(

RIP

Very sad. RIP

Good point, I am sure the pilot did everything he could to minimize damage on the ground.

Man, this whole thing sucks. Couldn't imagine sitting at home and having this happen. R.I.P.
I wonder what the root cause was?

Pilot skill was also attributed to minimized damage several years ago when the navy dropped a plane in a parking lot a couple miles from this.

Lost a single engine plane into a trailer last weekend. The owners were out side clearing snow, they were ok thank god,the pilot lost his life.On a good note if it was not for the snow the owners would be dead.
