It was quite the accomplishment. I still have a tough time rooting for Big 10, (Can't even count when they run out of fingers), teams though. Going to a PAC 12 school, (where we can count past 10) made the Big 10 mortal enemies because of the Rose Bowl.
And, other than the revamped Michigan BBall team, most of the Big10 plays a brand of basketball that I find offensive having played the game. I did think that Michigan picked an incredible coach, and that he'd build a winning basketball team which would actually play the sport the way it is mean't to be played.
I also thought that Wichita would beat Ohio because of their team basketball skills vs the Big 10 style of half court sets, picks, blocks and charges, and boredom..... I watched what they did to Gonzaga, and everyone was saying that Gonzaga was overrated. My opinion was Gonzaga was a final 4 team, and that the incredible streak of 7 threes in a row by Wichita happened to put them past the Zags. Two out of three the Zags would win. But Ohio was not nearly as good of a team as the Zags.
