Interestingly, Bobcat's angle of sun would be closer to 90 degrees overhead, meaning brighter, closer overhead sun. But he will only get 13 hours and 40 minutes of sunlight on June 21. That is quite enough, you are already burned to a crisp.

Blue Oval on the other hand, would have a sun lower in the sky at noon. The distance to the sun is greater. The rays are longer and less bright. But Blue Oval will get almost 15 hours, 40 minutes of sunlight that day.

Blue Oval gets two more hours of sunlight to make up for it being dimmer. It's like solar welfare. So the plants still grow.
All because of distances and angles.
