I normally don’t start watching the fall sports until I put the boats away and get board. But I did watch a couple U of M games on the phone anchored out this fall.

I used to watch a lot...especially during the Holidays...But i'm usually Working on Saturdays..

I've been watching classic golf from the 60s and 70s. It was a simpler time. Everyone knew their gender and everything.
The commentating is not woke. :sifone:

Same as the NFL...You watch an old Game from the 70's/80's or even the 90's and You can See how much better the Game was....

I agree on the old days. The linemen actually blocked and didn’t hold on to each other every play. I agree with the not taking someone out by their head. The receivers have their hands all over each other every play. I believe interference would be called every play if it was a 70’s game. When I was in school they taught you to play, now they teach you what to do and not get caught doing it. Drives me nuts. I played basketball against the local coaches for years. I got pissed one game and told them to let go of my dam shirt and play basketball. It is like that in all of our sports.

Same thing happened to pro basketball and I quit watching it way back.

I think the rules mean more when you played the game yourself. In BBall, what they started getting away with during the Detroit Bad Boys with body contact was when I quit being interested in the sport. It was all about hard work and finese when I played. Then it went to who had the biggest butt to knock somebody out of the post. I hated it.

I hated basketball. I was supposed to love it because I was 6'5"

At home, shooting around was fine. Could beat anybody in HORSE. Then I got on the team. And I found out basketball is actually a track and field sport. I ran less cross country than playing basketball. I could not have competed in butt bumping out of post. I have no azz.

Years ago I played in a 3 on 3. I stacked my team. The game in front of us got a little wild. Guy broke his wrist. I looked at Randy and Barry, I’m ok with 2nd place. I like basketball, I hate brutal ball. I quit playing in Boyne City years ago. There was a fight every Sunday. I played open gym in Harbor Springs for 25 years.
