Offshore Boat Motor vs. Monster Truck Motor

So I was watching monster jam last night and it seems most of the trucks make approximately 1450hp. Thats not that uncommon in a race boat which runs miles at a time wide open compared to a monster truck that runs minutes at a time with gears. So which one is harder on the motor?

With very few exceptions (Baja truck racing comes to mind) offshore boat racing is probably one of the most stressful environments for an engine to live in with constant high rpm/high hp operation, massive impulse loads, frequent loading and unloading, etc.

I think the monster truck engines do not run on normal gas. There may be some achohol or other substance in there tank. They only have to run for a minuite or two

I have done transmissions before for all out monster trucks, they usually have blown alcohol motors that are very similar to drag motors, wouldn't last 10 minutes in a boat at wot,Smitty
