We would also like to thank Matt Trulio and the entire Powerboat Magazine Team for supporting NJPPC and sharing a unqiue persepctive on our club, our members and what NJPPC is all about.
Some memorable quotes from the story:
“This is great-this is what it’s all about,” said Gene Weeks, who drove the new 42 Ultimate from Statement Marine in the run and gave demo rides
throughout the afternoon. “Just sitting here having a dock party and living
the lifestyle.”
“There’s nothing like the camaraderie of our club,” said Anselmi, who
drove his Donzi 38 ZR Comp with his financé, Andrea Gerahty, and friend,
Pete Kleban. “It can’t be matched.”
“Every year, it improves,” said Sauta, who tackled the run in his
39-foot Outerlimits with friends, Karen Conti, Tommy Safar, Scott
Langbein and Georgia Perentesis. “It’s so flawless now-they’re so well
prepared. The captains’ kits go out, everyone knows the routes and rules,
and you have everyone’s cell phone numbers. In this day and age, when
some poker runs are down 40 percent, to have a full field-that’s huge.”
