Every time more comes out it makes me more and more pissed..... :cuss:
Video obtained by ABC News, taken outside of the school appears to capture a 911 dispatcher telling officers that they were receiving calls from children who were still alive inside the classroom that the gunman had entered.
"Child is advising he is in the room, full of victims," the dispatcher can be heard saying in the video. "Full of victims at this moment."
A few minutes later, the dispatcher asked if any officers were inside the room — and said that there were "eight to nine children" still alive in the room.

There is no "banning" solution. Criminals and crazy people don't care, and the toothpaste isn't going back in the tube.
Paul, don't even get me started on how many different laws I have to follow, and special taxes I have to pay to be free. More and new laws based on weapon features is a slope to fudd world. The semi-automatic rifle in the hands of the populace makes people Ukrainians instead of Venezuelans when the commies roll in. And the globalists know it.
You may publicly torture school shooters, if you'd like.
But we as Americans are living in the era of "Not One Inch." Not incremental disarmament and what always comes next. It's all there in history. The Globalists are disarming the individualists at a shocking rate around the world.

Sean Colvin, 18, of Virginia says he has known Salvador Ramos for the last year via Yubo, a relatively new social media company based in Paris, France that established its presence in the U.S. in 2020 when it opened its new American headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
"We talked on a daily basis," said Colvin.
According to its website, Yubo has a global community of 40 million young people who socialize through livestreams, chatting, and group games
"Yubo is a space where anyone can belong," its website states.
Colvin stated that he doesn't know how Ramos found him on Yubo a year ago but that Ramos joined their group video live streaming sessions daily. Colvin told KXAN he was certain that the person identified as the gunman is the same person he had countless video interactions with on Yubo.
Colvin described Ramos as an angry person who was always arguing with people, but at other times appeared emotionless.
"When people argued with him, he always said you’ll know who I am. You’ll know what I did. You’ll remember my name," said Colvin.

I'm not going to subjugate my rights because assholes raised an asshole and other assholes never did a damn thing when he kept telling people what he was going to do next. They have blood in their hands, not millions and millions of law abiding people who happen to own guns. Murder was already illegal. The problem here is people in 2022 think safety should be our goal at the expense of freedom. But safety will never come. See original sin. Trading a false promise of safety for actual freedom should be considered treason in this nation. We were raised to be brave, because it's never going to be "safe." Brave and Free are the words to that song. Not safe and controlled.
The right to defend ourselves against these maniacs is as natural a right as the evolution of venom. Snakes can carry deadly force but a background checked 50 year old man with no priors has to turn in semi autos. Preposterous.

I 100 percent agree. But there must be some fraction of ground to give up to make it harder for kids to arm themselves. There is no comparing you to a truant derelict kid. He should not have the same access to what you and generations before you have earned access to.

I believe there are three major changes that have to happen. This is just me, but the dialogue has to begin somewhere.
1. Just as I did when I got my hunting license as a kid, anyone under the age of ____ (21?, 25?, ???), has to pass a gun safety and training course. In addition, to own a semi-auto anything as a minor they have to pass a background test/check. (Anyone who's nickname at work and on Yubo is "school shooter" would be banned).
2, We have to pass a federal law that makes mass murder carry a mandatory death sentence, period. It needs to be treated like hate crimes are against minority groups, at a Federal level.
3. We need to pass a law that requires all social media companies to report all death threats to a FBI, (or something else), where there is a database that meets up with the Federal background check database. Like this kid, banned at least twice for threatening to kill other kids and rape women. He had been reported several times by other kids on Yubo for his threats, plus to the high school where he went because they expected him to come there and start shooting high school kids someday. If the Social Media sites do not report that type of behavior, and something like this happens, they need to be susceptible to lawsuits. It is ridiculous that people can be blamed and banned for saying something bad about Fauci, but a threatening potential mass murder shooter gets a pass? These laws protecting Social Media from lawsuits have got to go.

The law you reference is federal. He bought it online and picked it up at an FFL who did a NICS check on the kid and made him fill out a form 4473. Which he lied on, like Hunter Biden did.
"Big Clips" is an incorrect media term for "Standard capacity magazine." 30 round is standard on the AR platform. It is also standard for the Kalashnikov.

Did they do the check? By law, you cannot sell multiple guns within a short timeline without a report directly to the Feds, right?
So, you are saying the form required has no real-time double check capabilities? If I apply for a loan, they have my loan history, job history, etc., etc., in a few minutes. If I lie and say I make a hundred grand a month, I still don't get the loan. (Well, maybe if my name is Biden).

Of course they did the NICS check. If not, they'd be strung up right now too. That poor guy who accepted the shipment would have his face on the news and be looking at hard federal time.
There is a stipulation about number of transfers in a given time. A NICS check could come back as "deny" or "delay." A NICS check is criminal background. They literally call the feds while you wait. They get a code which is an approval (that code will save that FFLs business).

Those are called "glock switches." They are found in Brazil and American Ghettos. You can ban those. That's not a legitimate gun or gun part. Party toys for poor people.
As far as the braces go... they were originally for disabled people but created a loophole where a shorter barrel could be used on a brace without becoming a "Short Barreled Rifle." It's stupid that they are going after them now. They are massively in circulation. But hey... they will get another $600 from me by selling me my rights back on the side.

I don't mean to dominate this thread, and I appreciate Jim's tolerance of my over posting. I do not intend to troll or poke.
But a couple more things come to mind in the larger context of solution. One: addicts, criminals and mentally disturbed (1 in 100 people are a ticking time bomb for sociopathy) do not consider laws at all. For example, fentanyl couldn't be more illegal, and was never legally in the hands of millions of people. Cupboards are not stocked with it. It floods in from China through our porous borders (guns won't even have to do that). The fentanyl overdose epidemic rolls on.
Please explain to me why this same strategy would work against something that millions of people currently do legally, since banning a deadly chemical is a FAIL.
Another: I have seen many proposals for essentially raising the age of majority to 21, or 25. Liquor is 21. Maybe 21 is where it is at, now that we don't really have a draft, and we don't have to explain why we are taking 18 year old babies in the Marines. This is essentially an admission that our society has devolved to the point because of well... let's be honest... the internet, de-socialization and radicalization that it brings in. We have stunted the development of our children by coddling them and leaving them in front of a screen full of hate and perversion. For the last thirty years. Raise brave kids. Raising safe kids isn't congruent with the world we release them into. They will in fact, never be safe. Or content.
So with this in mind, we should raise the voting age, the drinking age, the age to enter into a contract, and the age you can be convinced to undergo chemical castration as a gender exploration tactic. ALL of the decisions made by this age group seem suspect. Not just the shooting part.
And then there is this: They have started moving on to bombs already. Pretty sure those are already illegal too.
Let's fix the kids. The old men raised by fathers and grandfathers to be solid people aren't broken in the same way. Regardless of where one stands on guns.
It solves many more problems than just violence against others in the name of internet notoriety.

The entire point of a really tough discussion like this is so maybe we can actually make some common sense headway. I'm still doing research.
One thing that does need to be discussed, (I think), the red flag laws.
What is your opinion of Florida's? It was created and signed into law by Republicans as part of the big package after those kids were killed in 1999. I think it took all of three weeks to write pass.
