I get a call at 6:30 last night , from a guy who has worked for us about two weeks, He's out of gas , and stuck aground somewhere out on the Gulf side.
It's dark, the winds blowing 25 MPH and it's cold. My boat is on the rack at the Marina..which closed at 5 PM....(I don't think I would have went out
there if the boat was already in the water.)
I told him to call for a tow...He then asked me for a Credit Card Number he could use
( I think Seatow would want $350.00 to even go out
there with gas)
If this was a friend, I'd got somebody to go out with me to help...but I barely know this guy....So I'm not going to get somebody away from their
warm comfortable home, to go out in the weather to search for an idiot who takes an 18' boat out during a "Small craft Warning" alert issued by the
USCG.
Anyways, I doubt he'll be at work today.
