I got stuck in a vertical chimney in a cave in Central Pennsylvania a couple of years ago. Took about 15 minutes to get free. It was a LONG 15 minutes.

I was in a cave where there was a very tight hole to crawl through to see a big room. It was one where you had to put your hands above your head and kind of wiggle through. Well sure enough, I got stuck with no one around me. It was like I was burried in the rock itself. I got very claustophobic (sp) and was on the edge of going into panic mode but finally wiggled back out after stopping and getting my head together. That still spooks me today. I still go caving but not in tight spaces. Dave
