who's ready??

Mine's ready to go, except for the driveshaft that I'm still waiting for...minor details. She's probably going to get a coat of wax this weekend.

I'm ready. Need to change the fluids, filters, and impellers. Have our first boat club run on the 21st, doubt I'll get to wax it before then.

I am getting really close. I just need to build 2 big blocks, re-rig the boat, add some nav lights, get the trim indicators working, replace the bilge pumps, install a horn, a gps, some oil coolers, repair/replace a hatch, install new control cables. Do a little 12v rewiring. Oh, and drive showers. Oh, and add some braking. Trailer has a single surge. Need 3 wheel electric over hydraulic. Oh yeah... and wash and wax and stare at it.

So.... I am almost there.

I have help. :D

Buddy with a local shop is helping with the builds. I will repaint the bilge when the weather breaks. Maybe end of April here? I can cover it at home. I'll do the lights and gps and what little known wiring needs there are on weekends... I may relocate the battery switches and clean up some rigging. If money is there I will have my buddy pinch hit for me on the control cables and bugs.
My busy season at work ends around July 1. So I am anxious of course, but that's when my real season starts.

I'm at about the same stage as you, aside from I also need to paint the hull.
But I've got this cross-country move thing going on, and this job searching thing too... They may put me behind a little...

we never stopped until i had to replace both drives in january. almost every weekend and even got out a couple weekdays. 80 degrees this weekend, we are hooking up with some others in jax, fl on the river. then headed to ft meyers in two weeks for the run.

Should be a smooth as can be. It's a boat. Buddy is doing the builds, really. I helped make the plan, with his and some friend's tips. His shop pulled them and will do the re-in's. I will do a bunch of stuff too. That will spread the work out some.

6 inches of snow at LOTO last Saturday...70 tomorrow. Go figure.

Was fortunate enough to have the Cig in FL for the winter so it is ready to go. The others will remain in hibernation until April, and will bring the Cig back up to the lake then as well.

I don't know what to do, comp has been paying me since aug,and my new knee is not better so they want to pay me until nov:(, I am not sure if using my boat is a bad thing cause a friend who was settling for over a million was watched using his boat a lake boat going 45 not a blown 90 to 100 boat like mine will be. So do skip it ,I do need two shoulder replacements too. but don't know if that will cause a problem with them its work related but since its my family business I didn't put in for it.about the boat it was stripped in 07 some of you might recall the long thread about loosing a loved one at the same week as the theft happened. I think I should have the glass work done and put the new motor, drive, steering in and have it ready instead of being a part:(. my knee is at a stand still cause the 1st PT place I went to messed up some of you know. but I don't care am not going after them. So MY DAD just wanted me to end this in the spring with comp AIG. then use the boat a little and get my shoulders done in the fall since the crutchers made it worst. just think it started in 04 and took 4surgeries until they did the right thingreplace the knee and then would not pay my doc to operate had to use the back up who I think messed up to. which I woke up on the OR table cause the leg block did not work:ack2: and then the rehab center ran out of my meds every 4 days so on the 12th day I could leave so I went home and started at the next outside PT that messed up too.but am was happy at the place I go to now, but they blame the 1st two and the doc does too. but going after them will not help the pain so for get about it:sifone:. so with my bad luck should I just go on my friends boats again and wait until nov or spring of 2010:beatdeadhorse5::banghead:thanks for any reply.

Sounds like you have worked through it and have decided that you should park the boat during your recovery and injury compensation period. That seems like a wise, yet difficult choice. Good luck.

We gave out 7 cases at the Miami show to the dealers and their detailer's that we worked with..we polished their boats and wanted to make sure they looked great throughout the show. The only one's that bought product (4-packs) for their customers as well as use our product in the shop for their boats and car's were www.alburybrothersboats.com and Statement boats.

We are starting to package these..seeing that's what the latest request is..1 polish, 1-vinyl/leather cleaner with applicator, 1-vinyl/leather conditioner, 1-metal serum or boat soap/salt deposit remover. 5-terry cloth towels. 59.00 includes shipping. Less than you can get at Walmart, and these are premium products..How's that sound. Call me if you have Q's..Thanks Jeff
