Canadian Music ......

If this thread had made it the whole first page without the Hip, I would have flown home, borrowed a Cat D9, rolled across the Lewiston/Queenston bridge and bulldozed that stupid statue of Brock right off the escarpment!

For me, the definitive Hip song...

Don't know how I missed this thread... I must work too much.

I'll throw in Lowest of the Low, NC17, Treblecharger, Forgotten Rebels, Dig Circus... oh man! I could go on. But for me, the Hip was THE band. I've seen Rush at the Garden, Neil Young at Argo's old stadium, Triumph at the War Memorial in Rochester...

Here's a photo of me that I took last week as a matter of fact. In Southern CA. And yes, I realize I look like an assclown. Anyone want to guess what tour it was from?

Kim Mitchell? Max Webster were brilliant!

How about Exciter, Voi-Vod, or Anvil, or Reckless ?

April Wine live at the El Mocambo was a defining moment....

Dude, I played hockey with Gord and the boys at an outdoor rink in Tremblant about 15 years ago. We were all up there for New Years Eve....

Too long off a story for here, but there were a bunch of teenaged kids who were awestruck ..... :D

Hans, you know Webster music do ya? Never thought they made any waves that far south. As the lyric says, " we're just a bunch of frost bitten Canadians. Put on your sunglasses, get into the parade, We just might get laid" :)

I think Hans may have spent some time North of the 49th Parallel ... :D
