Vancouver lower mainland might get snow twice per year. Mountains close by though and they see more snow.

That's one of the things I miss about Oregon vs Michigan. In Oregon we put the snow on the mountains where it belongs, and is useful. Here there are no mountains so they put it in the way everywhere.....:banghead:
 
I lived just outside of Toronto and don't miss the snow everywhere. Glad it was only 4 years and moved back to BC.

Yes, in Oregon, I issued an edict quite awhile ago for the snow to behave.
 
Hi Ho's! Like the snow in the mountains even though I don't ski anymore. Have 5 decent world class ski venues half an hour from my house. Have world famous Whistler/Blackcomb just over an hour away. Banff and Revelstoke nearby. We had a cabin in lake Tahoe while I was growing up by plane 3hrs travel time. Here is awesome if your a snowboarder or skier.
