As you all know, I have an innate ability to look at a turd and see its true potential. If I only spent two years and $60,000.
But I'm not seeing this deckboat vision. However, it is STILL a better idea than my Apache was. So I'm in.
Even though it is the Ford Town and Country station wagon of deckboats. Still in.
Let's deckboat.
Every time family or groups of friends visit we end up renting a pontoon for over $500 for a half day to have room for 8 or 10 people.
Figured if we bought a pontoon we'd save some bucks in the long run, but then a deck boat seems to be better in salt water so started looking for something that even Bobcat could drive after a few beers......
And relatives and friends could take it out if they wanted and not worry about ruining an expensive boat.
The best part is...When You're Racing Someone...You can start tossing off the Ballast on the Front End to gain Speed....I'd keep that Kayak close though...
We are going to replace the 4.5 on the Inmar with it. I’m thinking a prop change and we will get some speed out of it. Pretty cool seeing a 40 year old engine in the box. We got it out to make sure it still turned over. A project for next spring.
