Kind of controversial for a first post, as you see. Always a good thing to ease into swimming pools, neighborhood bars and forums full of type As.
I apologize if my mentioning this early on caused you to feel bad, and stop liking our little forum.
I don't think that either one of us could have anticipated the drama that would follow.
So... back to what we most likely have in common: boats. Start a thread about your search for a Cig. Lots of us would enjoy the search with you.

Reminds me of the old joke when Mary Magdelene was about to be stoned to death Jesus says: "Anybody who has not sinned cast the first stone"...with that a large boulder comes flying through the sky and buries MM.

The only person who will live with this mistake is MV...and don't think for minute the immense public pressure will let up. Just not sure anybody posting here can even imagine what a life like that would be like...no matter what penance or public humility he goes through...it will always be with him.
It could be argued that puppy mills are horrible things, yet people buy dogs from them, including me, and keep these things going.
There are people in business that are doing worse things to animals in the world - like the Japanses who are slaughtering dolphins...keep your eyes out for a documentary on this that was jsut done by a guy I know who cannot travel to Japan for the rest of his life.
My personal take is everybody deserves a second chance...short of people who prey on children.

Do you really think Vic is loosing sleep because of his involvement in dogfighting?? NO! He may be loosing sleep because he got caught and lost his millions. The guy is scum. Period. Scum for general society. But in his Gangsta world, he's a hero. Dog Fighting may have been a gentlemans sport at one time. Since then, it has degenerated into a subculture bloody violent sport that is lauded by thugs and gangstas. The scum who fight dogs live, egotistically, through their dogs exploits and act like that is a reflection of how tough and hard that they are. Its like the parent who lives through their kids accomplishments. Pathetic. This is why dogs who do not perform well or loose are put to death. A hard gangsta cant have a lame dog. Not to mention that one of the training tactics used is to steal someones personal pet, cocker spaniel, poodle, etc. then to chain it to the floor. They then send their dog on the chained dog to kill it so that their dog learns how to be aggressive and be willing to kill. No punishment for Vick is too harsh.

If he ever earns dollar 1 in the NFL again I think I will quit watching.
I also like how the Va judge said "no" to letting him get his state trial over so he can serve concurrent sentences.
I hope the day he walks out of Club Fed that he gets to go straight to the State court for that trial. A nice 10yr sentence there would be fine.

Lets face it, the guy had the world in his hand! Money, fame, what a jerk 2 pizz it away in ILLEGAL activities! I have no sympathy at all 4 someone in his position! He deserves all the time in the klink that he gets. Some of it just 4 B'n so FK'n stupid 2 put himself in that ILLEGAL spot!!!!

Ok I started this post after drinking all nite and then sitting on the computer. I thought it was crappy how someone can murder someone or get busted with drugs or kill someone in a DUI accident (which is the pleasure sport these people chose I do not condone any of these but it is what they do for pleasure) and the league they play in slaps them on the wrist and lets them play these are crimes against humans which result in death to humans you know maybe even someone you know. And do less actual prison time and get reinstated in there respective league without having to do what Vick has had to do. So I am not saying he got off easy or should not be punished more but it is a huge double standard. If somene killed my pet it would hurt if someone killed my kid I would go to prison myself to punish them you get my point now. So in that respect he is getting screwed when compared to these other crimes. I could have edited my original post but the other posts would not have made sense.

That was my point as well- hang him by the balls but in reality none of us would have had to do that kind of time for the crime.
I did not bother to read all of the responses to this idiotic thread. Roping a bull, pulling it down and possibly seriously hurting it seems pretty stupid to me. But forcing any animal to kill or be killed for some sickos enjoyment is absolutely outrageous! Vick should be baned for life!!! Another sport that I'm finding harder and harder to watch is horse racing. Just how many fine beasts have had to be shot on the track this year alone?? Just for some wealthy owner's ego?! Pukin' Morons!!!
